Five police officers have been injured and seven people are in custody after a brawl outside a hotel in Potts Point overnight. Police were called to the hotel on Bayswater Road about 11.20pm (Saturday 19 October 2019), responding to reports of a disturbance after a man was removed from the premises.
A man has passed away after being rescued from a house fire in Dover Heights this morning. At 9.30am emergency services were called to a home on Blake Street Dover Heights, after reports a home was well alight.
A woman has died after falling over 30 metres from a cliff in Diamond Bay this morning. At around 11.20am emergency services responded to Diamond Bay Reserve in Vaucluse, following reports a woman fell onto rocks and into the water. A major rescue operation involved Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command PolAir, Police Rescue, NSW Ambulance Paramedics, Toll Ambulance Rescue, Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter and Life guards from Bondi Rescue Lifeguards.
One property has sustained significant damage after a likely arson attack in a lane way leading from Roe St to Stewart St in North Bondi At 12.27am a person was captured on CCTV stopping to watch a fire that was started a few moments earlier. The figure could be seen hiding behind a tree around 70 metres away. The person then continued towards William St, Rose Bay where a 2nd fire was lit. Damage was limited to a rubbish pile.
Emergency services have rescued two males from a vehicle after being trapped after a crash on Burke St, Chifley at around 2.15am Two NSW Ambulance specialist medical teams were dispatched and assisted intensive care paramedics to stabilize the patients.
A 41 year-old female has been transported to St Vincent's hospital after rolling her car on Military Rd in Dover Heights. The accident occurred at around 7.10pm. It's understood the vehicle impacted with a parked car prior to rolling on its side. Rescue crews from Fire and Rescue NSW Station & Police Rescue stabilized the vehicle and extracted the patient from the rear of the vehicle.
Emergency services are currently on scene at a gas leak in Randwick after a construction crew ruptured a gas main. A business premise was evacuated. Alison Rd between Avoca St and Belmore Rd remains closed whilst emergency crews complete their work.
