Man dies following high speed crash in Bellevue Hill

A man has died following a single car crash in Bellevue Hill this evening.

At around 11.00pm (26 September, 2025) emergency services responded to multiple reports of a high speed crash on Victoria Rd.

Witnesses stated seeing the car drive at high speed prior to rolling onto two wheels prior to crashing into a pole.

Bystanders did everything possible to assist the man, however he remained trapped inside the car.

First arriving paramedics reported the male in cardiac arrest, however was inaccessible to medical crews.

Police Rescue and Fire & Rescue began the complex process of accessing the car so paramedics could assist the patient.

Despite the best efforts of bystanders and all emergency services, the male was declared deceased around an hour after the crash.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash and have closed the intersection of Victoria Rd & Bellevue Rd whilst recovery and investigations continue.
