Man arrested after crashing onto footpath in Coogee

About 9.30pm yesterday (Thursday 31 August 2023), officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Arden Street and Coogee Bay Road, Coogee.

The drivers – a 21-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man – were uninjured. Police will allege the man returned a positive roadside breath test.

He was placed under arrest and taken to Maroubra Police Station where a breath analysis returned a positive reading of 0.096 grams of alcohol in 210 litres of breath.

The Coogee man was charged with drive with middle range PCA and issued with a Field Court Attendance Notice to attend Waverley Local Court on Wednesday 27 September 2023.

His driver’s licence has also been suspended.
