A man will face court today after allegedly breaking into two homes and a pub in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs last week, and stealing cash, alcohol, and a car, which was later set alight. About 10pm on Thursday (21 November 2019), police attempted to stop a Ford Falcon, which was driving the wrong direction on a one-way street in Double Bay. The male driver – and sole occupant – stopped briefly before driving off at speed. A police pursuit was initiated but terminated a short time later due to safety concerns.
NSW Police Force and Fire and Rescue NSW are investigating the cause of a house fire on Martin Rd, Centennial Park. About 8.40pm (Wednesday 6 November 2019), emergency services were called in relation to a double story house well alight.
Around one hundred fire-fighters battled a structure fire in Alexandria when a building caught alight in the early hours on the 29th of October 2019. The fire started just after 2am. Ten units were affected by smoke and heat with some suffering major damage.

A woman has died after falling over 30 metres from a cliff in Diamond Bay this morning. At around 11.20am emergency services responded to Diamond Bay Reserve in Vaucluse, following reports a woman fell onto rocks and into the water. A major rescue operation involved Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command PolAir, Police Rescue, NSW Ambulance Paramedics, Toll Ambulance Rescue, Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter and Life guards from Bondi Rescue Lifeguards.
One property has sustained significant damage after a likely arson attack in a lane way leading from Roe St to Stewart St in North Bondi At 12.27am a person was captured on CCTV stopping to watch a fire that was started a few moments earlier. The figure could be seen hiding behind a tree around 70 metres away. The person then continued towards William St, Rose Bay where a 2nd fire was lit. Damage was limited to a rubbish pile.
