Man dies after house fire in Dover Heights, NSW
A man has passed away after being rescued from a house fire in Dover Heights this morning.
At 9.30am emergency services were called to a home on Blake Street Dover Heights, after reports a home was well alight.
An off duty fire fighter who was nearby at the time attempted to check on any trapped residents but was unable to gain access. On arrival of fire fighters he assisted with operations.
Fire fighters located a 90-year-old male occupant and CPR commenced on scene. He was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital with a police escort.
Unfortunately despite the efforts of all emergency services, the man was pronounced deceased in hospital.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
