Man dies following car accident in driveway in Dover Heights

An elderly man has died following a driveway car accident in George St Dover Heights this afternoon.

At 3.30pm emergency services were called to a residential property with reports stating a man was trapped between a car and wall.

Police rescue and general duties police were first to arrive and commenced CPR. Fire & Rescue from Bondi Station assisted with CPR for some 45 minutes whilst paramedics and a specialist aeromedical team worked to revive the man.

Despite the efforts of all emergency services the man passed away on scene.

Forensic police and detectives are investigating the cause of the fatal accident.

Police believe the man became trapped after the vehicle rolled down the driveway.
